Successful Blogging Resources – Week 2 – “Where’s my Money, Man?”

So if you haven’t already – go read the  first post in the series, and get a blog online for yourself. Want a cheap blog? Well then go to BlixHost and get one for a buck a month (Ohey look product placement – go me!)

So now that your blog is online – I wanted to share these links to all sorts of reputable ad agencies to make sure that you can make at least a tiny biut of cash off of them. I can guarantee that you’ll at least make enough to cover your hosting.

Again, I’m not going to spoon feed you through using these services, but I did 60% of the work for you just finding them!

Banner and Text Advertising PPT/PPC
The way these sites work are simply by acting as a broker for advertising. You place the ad on your website, and you get payed when it’s viewed/clicked. These sites are meant for people with blogs, or websites that they can earn from.

The top PPC sites are as follows….

1. Google Adsense - High payout. By far the best ad network ever. Note that they have a pretty intense screening process. But check out this post to see how much can actually be made.

2. Adbrite - Medium high payout with an instant approval. I’ve used them in the past, but only because I was monetizing content that Google wouldn’t allow. (Spoiler alert – it was a website that contained pictures of boonies)

3. Clicksor - Lower payout, more ad options. PayPal Payments. Clicksor is great because they offer full page interstitials, and they can convert inline text (like you are reading right now) into ads.
4. Bidvertiser - No ad options, medium high payouts. PayPal Payments. Bidvertiser is great because their minimum payout is 10 dollars. That’s hard to come by.

Link Advertising
A lot of people think that link advertising methods are nonprofessional. They are, however for a teenage/ entry level web entrepreneur it can be monetized in so many different ways. Basically all you do is place links all over. The more people click your links, the more money you get.

The best link sites are….

1. Linkbucks - Medium payout, numerous redirects, allows adult content. Payments by PayPal.

2. Adfly - Higher payouts, numerous ad options, very easy to monetize, and works as a link shortening service like Bit.ly. But better.  This is the one I use for a lot of stuff.

CPA – “Cost Per Action”
We’ve all been to those websites where you have to work your ass off doing surveys to get what you want. Have you ever wondered where those surveys come from? They are from CPA Access sites. This is currently the highest paying Ad division on the market, with it’s top earners making millions of dollars a year.
I myself make over 400 dollars a month from CPA Sites.

The best CPA Sites are…

1. CPALead - Payment through paypal or check. Lots of ads, “easy” money. Big marketers on this site make upwards of 4 grand a month. Read my gull review of CPALead here.

2. AdultAccessNow - The Adult version of CPA Lead if you wanna make booby ads.

3. Adscend Media - High Payout, but a lack of widgets. This can be used as a secondary CPA ad site.

Successful Blogging Resources – Week 1

Hey internet. After some time in the blog game, I feel that I have “Mastered” WordPress monetizing and starting today, I am going to begin sharing my library of resources on the subject. Today I want to focus on SEO, Design, and Viral marketing.

If you do not have a wordpress blog yet, I suggest purchasing a plan at http://blixhost.com/ (Great rates starting at just 1 dollar a month).

This post will give you a brief rundown, and a link to some very useful files.
WordPress SEO
SEO with WordPress is so easy that I actually don’t even see it anymore as SEO; but rather more as a series of steps. As we all know, for Google to pick up on your website, you need to have links on other websites. So… why not other wordpress blogs? This brings us to our first file… a list of 50k WordPress Blogs with comments that auto approve.

Download 50k Auto Approve Blog List

But hey – what’s the use of being in the big G if your website won’t hit virality? We all know viral traffic is the most profitable, which brings us to the next file on our list… the “Tiny Facebook App”. This is an app that you can create that hooks users to your site using facebook connect, and then posts your site’s link out to their friends. Fast. Instant. Pure traffic.

 Download the “Tiny App”

So now that the SEO is done with, and your site has viral traffic, the final kicker is email. Regardless of what YOU do with marketing spam emails, a goof 70% of society actually clicks on them. So gather up some leads, and download this mass mailer:

Design, Cleanliness, and Ease of Usability
Everyone who visits your blog does not want to deal with buillshit. Which is why we want very clean, very shine, non-bullshit themes and templates.

Below is a download with a pack of graphic templates for glass buttons. These are very nice and appealing to the eyes. Simple graphics like this can covert users more than a simple link.

Download Glass Boxes Templates

Blog themes are another thing that will make your users stay or leave. The more simple, the better. And the more clean the better. Below is a download to some themes that use up to date HTML and CSS and are clean and sleek.

Download the Blog Themes Pack Now

This last download is not necessarily a blog plugin or theme, but I have programmed it in to a number of apps I’ve made. This is an Ajax uploader that uploads an image using Jquery. It’s very smooth and very clean and will make your users want to use your service.

Download the Ajax Image Upload Script

I’ll be posting another one of these next week, and may accompany it with a vlog on the subject if the views are high enough.

New CPALead Monetization Project – Digital Currencies

Hey guys! Aaron here, back with a new script/website that I’ve built :D

The domain is rsgold4surveys.com

The idea
Give users free RuneScape gold for completing surveys on the website. Users can cash out for free RS gold after completing free surveys.

This website uses CPALead ads and a custom callback script I wrote all bundled into what I think is a sleek design (It would be best to speed up the design, a little more)

Profitability
My vision is to profit by shaving a few cents off of each advertising survey completed, and eventually using PPC advertising.

To Do list
-Clean up the design to accomidate faster loading
-Add more in depth facebook integration (Preferably posting to users walls after they sign up, allowing facebook registration, etc)
-SEO changes to content and tags

Let me know what you think – I wanna make sure this thing is flawless. I plan on marketing it like crazy in the coming months. Post em for me in the comments below.

Appreciate it :)

-Aaron

It’s been Awhile!

Hey blog! Sorry I havn’t written oin you recently, I’ve just been so busy (Yeah I know it’s my excuse 9 times out of 10). But seriously. I have.

To start, my new job is going great. Really enjoying it, and it freed up a TON of time!  So naturally, I used that time doing other stuff…. I’m currently working on a project with Mega64. It’s been a fun ride so far, and I’ve even learned some stuff. I’m really looking forward to working with them some more.

BlixHost is doing great. I stopped the redesign because I was getting some massive traffic. We are now up to 200 active clients on Blixhost, and growing! I can’t wait to see how this thing turns out! Also – I recieved a request from somebody to purchase BlixHost, which is probably the biggest compliment one can give. Naturally, I said no. It’s my project, and it’s going to stay that way.

The 2 gaming sites I run have had amazing traffic as of recent, and are generating amazing ad revenue with the new digital currency scripts that I’ve created using CPALead.  CaliScape Social Gaming Forums jumped in traffic by 400% this year, and now serves over 6 countries consistently. Our main goal was to branch out of the US and UK markets. We now have a strong Brazilian, and Spanish following. In addition to this, we recently launched MineCraft Server, a single serving Minecraft website and server. This site is doing great so far, and we hope to keep it that way.

Last but not least, my social pooping project is going amazing. After a few meetings, we now have a functional landing page online for all to see.

I truly appreciate everyone’s support with my projects, and the comments and feedback that my readers have been giving me. I’ve been reviewing a number of questions submitted, asking how I start projects, and things along those lines. I plan to answer those questions, and make some guides on my YouTube channel in the coming weeks.

Have a nice fall everyone! :)

BlixHost US / Other projects

Yesterday I pretty much completely redesigned http://us.blixhost.com/. This is in an effort to brand all my BlixMedia sites under one design and look. Apparently people are more comfortable with branding. http://blx.me/ has most features completely updated and written now.

Aside from my personal endeavors, I have currently been working on a redesign for Santee Kiwanis as well as continued development on the website for an advertising agency.

I’ll make it a point to post more here. Consistent blogging is apparently a good SEO practice, and for some reason people read this stuff.

Toodaloo! :)

Projects Update

It’s that time of the month again people! I get to tell you viewers at home how horribly I am doing at my job as a webmaster… well, this month actually has yielded some strong results….

Advertising for BlixHost is really picking up now that a steady traffic flow is going. I hate to be that guy that says “OMG Traffic is everything”, but in this case it really is. Text hosting skyrocketed, and at this point I really need to work on adding more usability to the site as a whole, and get the design changed up a little as well.

The downside of this high traffic is that I’m now outgrowing my servers, but the revenue is making all that sit well with me.

Development on BlixMedia Interactive is slowing down as I’ve halted to work on my other projects. To put it simply, BlixHost is probably the priority right now.

Below is a snapshot of ad sense for the month (Click to enlarge). These are probably the best earnings I’ve had in awhile, but again, to make it last, BlixHost will need to be worked on… alot. Adsense Earnings
Thanks for reading. If you have suggestions for what I can do to make http://blixhost.com/ more user friendly, please leave a comment. Or of course if you just like reading my stuff, leave a comment. Until next time…

Blx.me – Going as Planned

The idea for BlixMedia Interactive came to me as I was helping all my friends try to find small incomes online. The problem most people run into while trying to use marketing methods and gaining traffic is that they don’t keep themselves in check! The Blx.Me website is basically a tool to do just that. I’ll post more information on this as we further development, but I can guarantee that you will be seeing more of this.

As of yesterday, our users system (Login/register) is complete. The design is complete as well. With these 2 pieces completed, it’s time to focus on the core of the site – the content. More updates should be coming soon, but you can follow the updates live at http://blx.me/.

For good measure, here’s a cat picture.

CaliScape – The Social Gaming Portal

Main Website: http://www.caliscape.com/
Blog: http://blog.caliscape.com/

CaliScape is the result of a 4 year hobby of mine. In 2007, I was in 11th grade – my friends and I created this website as a gathering place to get away from our favorite game “RuneScape”.

The website expanded into a large community of over 50,000 users, and is now home to one of the most diverse and amazing communities of people I’ve ever had the pleasure of interacting with. With over a team of 11 staff members that keep the site and it’s features operational on a daily basis, this gaming community is one of the biggest sites I currently operate.
